Absolutely Amazing from Start to Finish!!!

点评：I booked with Birding Experiences based solely on all the 5-star reviews and was not disappointed!! Absolutely incredible experience from initial email contact, to the birding tour, and even weeks after the tour.
I contacted Birding Experiences months before we arrived in Costa Rica to book a one day tour. I asked a lot of questions and Jehudy Carballo responded to them all, even though he was guiding a multi-day tour. Fantastic communication right from the start. I did a lot of research on areas to go and decided that I really wanted to go to La Selva Biological Station. It was not one of their advertised tours; but, Jehudy was more than happy to arrange a quote and do everything that was needed to get into to La Selva.
Excellent communication from the moment we arrived in the La Fortuna area to the day of our trip. Jehudy was on time and the 2 hour drive to La Selva flew by because conversation was easy and very interesting. He's extremely knowledgeable about more than just birds!!!
We stopped along the road near La Selva and started birding at one of the hot spots in the area. Seeing two Great Green Macaws fly overhead is a sight that I will never forget - stunning!!
Getting into La Selva went smoothly and this birding tour was the highlight of my trip! I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and personal Jehudy is! We saw a ton of birds and I learned so much. Jehudy knew all the places to go and I never felt rushed to frame my shot. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get as many hours birding as I wanted; because the drive to La Selva was 4 hours round trip. I know that a lot of companies are strict on timelines and while I absolutely respect this, I was resigned to the fact that we'd at least get a few hours in on a full day tour. BOY WAS I WRONG! :) When Jehudy turned to me and said, "is there a specific time you need to be back?" and I promptly replied with "nope", I knew that time was not going to be an issue. I got an absolutely amazing FULL DAY of birding and Jehudy never once was concerned with the time or kept looking at it. It was great!
The amazingness of this company did not stop after the tour was over. Jehudy mentioned that if I didn't know or remember any of the birds I saw, I was more than welcome to message him the picture and he would ID them for me. Weeks later, he's still incredibly patient and responds to my "I can't find this bird on google, what is it" requests!
Jehudy and Birding Experiences has been nothing short of amazing and I won't even look for any other tours when I'm in the area. I'm sticking with Birding Experiences from here on in. Book with them and I will assure you, you will not be disappointed. I can't say enough good things.
