Nice vineyard, but please get rid of the picnic tables
维萨图依酒庄的点评
点评：We were attracted to this vineyard, as we like the idea of buying cheese, charcuterie and wine from their shop and then sitting in the grounds while we ate it, rather than doing a more formal tasting.
We were staying in Yountville and took an Uber here. It is on the main Napa highway, just beyond the centre of Zinfandel.
It is free to enter and the first impressions were very good, as it a lovely setting, with various areas where you could eat/drink, so it could accommodate some pretty large groups.
When we were there there was some significant construction going on and I would expect the place to be even better when it is finished.
We found our way to the shop, which seemed to be in a temporary location. It is a large shop with a great selection of food and wine, plus even little picnic sets (plates, knives, forks, napkins), each set is for 2 people.
We bought our food and an accompanying bottle of wine.
The real bummer was that if you take this option, i.e. not a more formal tasting, you have to sit at picnic tables beside the main road. Hopefully this is just temporary, but I really hate eating/drinking picnic tables.
We spent about an hour in the place.
Later we came across the Oakville Grocery and felt that this would have been a more comfortable option instead, depending on the outcome of the construction.
