点评:We only managed 2 in the end in the 30C heat! Vittoriosa and Senglea. Vittoriosa was lovely and not too busy. The church was beautiful and the views from the fort were spectacular. If you are at the fort at 13:00 get ready to take a picture of the canon being fired across the bay. The streets in Vittoriosa were very quaint and atmospheric, there are a small number of restaurants and the staff were friendly and helpful. Senglea was OK, the entrance and the clock tower spectacular but the Basilica was shut when we were there, it is not open in the afternoon. The gardens at the end of Senglea were not worth the trip down, though there were again nice views across the bay but no better than from the fort.
Our main issue was getting there in the first place. The short ferry was not running and the little boats were not taking people until they had a full complement of passengers. At 09:45 we were the only 2 of us there! The man in charge of the ferries told us to go around the corner and catch the free complementary bus instead. When we got there the buses weren't running! The options were then to go back to the bus station and catch bus no. 2 or 3. As we were frustrated and fed up by that point we took a taxi
