Fabulous fossils. Really well presented

点评：It's worth the trip 100%. Fossils are well presented with labelling pitched at everyone. For more details, you have the option to ping the QR codes, and the info is great. Staff are very friendly, welcoming, and informative. The ticket is valid for a whole year. There's space for talks and a really good shop, which is, again, pitched at all levels of interest. Good amount of parking behind the museum. The building is positioned opposite a village cafe/restaurant.
Loved that they'd thought of ways to be energy conscious, eg., Toilet lights are movement sensitive and so aren't left on all the time. So are the basin taps.
You get a real sense of what the seas around Kimmeridge were like at a specific point in evolutionary history because everything has been displayed, from the pliosaurs to fish, cephalopods, and even a flying reptile. As an independent charity, the Etches Collection deserves support, especially as the collection is growing and everyone involved is hugely dedicated to the work involved.
