A Must-Stop for Ice Cream Lovers and Mayfield Fans!

点评：We recently visited the Mayfield Dairy Visitor Center in Athens, TN, and had a wonderful experience, even though we missed out on the factory tour (offered only on weekdays). The Visitor Center is a great spot to learn more about the famous Mayfield Dairy, shop for fun souvenirs, and, of course, indulge in some of the best ice cream around.
The ice cream bar was definitely the highlight of our visit. We ordered the "Pirate's Treasure" flavor, and it was hands down the creamiest ice cream we've ever tasted. The flavor was unique and absolutely delicious, making it a real treat. There were plenty of other tempting flavors, so I’d recommend giving yourself time to make a choice!
The Visitor Center itself is filled with Mayfield memorabilia, from hats and t-shirts to colorful and nostalgic items that would make perfect gifts. The place was clean, well-organized, and had plenty of displays that gave a glimpse into Mayfield's history and the manufacturing process.
Although we missed the tour, the staff were incredibly friendly and happy to answer all of our questions about the facility and how the products are made. Their knowledge and friendliness really enhanced our visit.
If you're in the Athens area, I highly recommend stopping by Mayfield Dairy, especially if you're a fan of ice cream. Plan your trip for a weekday if you want to take the full tour and enjoy a complimentary scoop! We’ll definitely be back for the tour next time!
