Good points, bad points. On balance I would not use them again
Coral Expeditions的点评
点评：A 16 day trip with Coral to the Philippines was our first trip with Coral. We have done over 500 days with other expedition companies, so have much to compare
To me there were a number of good points offset by a number of bad points. Overall I do not think I would travel by Coral again
Good points are
- I chose this cruise because of the route. Few cruises go to the Philippines - thought I understand Coral are not returning in the future
- the Coral Geographer is a nice ship to travel on. It is spacious and modern
- the means of getting ashore, sort of landing craft that take about 50 guests was better to me than zodiacs, in being a fast and efficient way of getting guests ashore
Bad points are
- the food was of poor quality. Often cold from being pre cooked too far in advance. And dried out from being held in Bain Marie’s
- they ran out of a lot of things like fresh fruit. We were served tinned peach and pineapple. Croissants disappeared after a few days, as did a lot of baked items. No apology was ever given
- you had to get to the dining room well before the scheduled time to avoid the better things being already eaten
- eating is all done at communal tables, no option to eat with your partner alone. The dining room was too cold, and outside was too noisy from ships engines
- the number of sea days was surreptitiously
increased from two to four. Nothing to do with weather as done before we started
- I did not find the expedition leader to be either a leader, nor sympathetic. . And there was little interaction with any expedition staff bar one
There were a lot of unhappy bunnies on board, including me
