We chose this cruise because it was marketed as an expedition cruise with scuba diving and hikes, but it did not deliver that experience.
The cabin was comfortable, which was the main positive. However, there was a noticeable nickel-and-dime approach, especially disappointing given this cruise cost more than comparable Silversea and Ponant expedition cruises we’ve done.
Despite diving being a key selling point, we completed only three dives over 16 days due to low participation, with no apparent effort to offer more. No hikes occurred at all, despite being advertised. Wildlife encounters felt comparable to visiting a zoo rather than a true expedition experience.
The lectures were poor, mostly personal travel slide shows with little educational value. Food was very basic and institutional. We were also by far the youngest passengers onboard, and the cruise was clearly geared toward a much older demographic.
Overall, this is not an expedition cruise. It may suit travellers seeking a very quiet, low-activity cruise, but not those expecting genuine expedition travel.
