Interesting Roadside Attraction
Trees of Mystery的点评
点评：On our recent tour to the California & Oregon coast, we stopped off at a roadside tourist attraction called Trees of Mystery, at Klamath California. The first thing you notice is the Giant Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox in the parking lot, where there are also benches, whimsical carved statues, and beautiful flower beds. Inside they have an interesting and informative Native American museum, featuring artifacts of various cultures native to the Northwest US. We browsed the fun gift shop and bought a jigsaw puzzle there. There are many more things available in the gift shop. The gift shop had so many gifts, souvenirs, tourist needs & memorabilia, plus fudge and other snacks for sale, and restrooms. For what seemed an expensive cost, there was a gondola that takes you to a scenic lookout up the hill. (I believe there were restrooms at the top of the gondola ride.) Also, there were trails, also for a fee, through redwoods, including a canopy trail. We didn’t go on the trails or gondola but some of the others on our tour did and enjoyed them. I enjoyed photographing the flowers around the parking, some covered with raindrops, enhancing their beauty. Not really my personal preference kind of place, but it was an interesting stop along our way.
