点评:This was a beautiful and touching visit.
We weren’t able to do the canoe tour where you can see sloths in the wild but it was really amazing to meet the permanent resident sloths—rescued and disabled sloths who are lovingly cared for at the sanctuary. Seeing them up close was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was so kind and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about these incredible creatures, their habits, and the challenges they face in the wild.
A special highlight was being checked in by the founder’s daughter—she was an absolute darling and radiated warmth and love for the animals.
This sanctuary does such important work—rescuing injured or orphaned sloths, providing lifelong care for the disabled ones, and rehabilitating others so they can return to the wild. If you’re in the area, this is a must-do tour. It’s heart-opening, educational, and supports a beautiful mission of compassion and protection for one of Costa Rica’s most iconic animals. 💚
