Weather Is Unpredictable, and This Property Is Unsafe in Extremes — Avoid Booking

点评：We stayed for two nights at Kings Canyon Station (Mort Conway Camp) in November in a tented room with a private bathroom and air-conditioning, but during our stay the tent became dangerously hot, reaching well over 50°C inside despite the air-conditioner running constantly. The bathroom has no air-conditioning at all.
What is most concerning is that the property provides no safe, cool refuge for guests during extreme weather — something that is both predictable and common in this part of Australia. There is no warning provided at the time of booking that these tents cannot cope with extreme heat or cold, and no alternative space for guests to escape the conditions.
When we raised this issue, the management response was essentially that this was “the risk you take at this time of year.” Considering the temperatures involved and the fact that many guests, including international visitors, would have no idea of how extreme Central Australian weather can be, this response felt dismissive, negligent, and showed no real concern for guest wellbeing.
For the premium price charged, guests should be able to expect a safe and usable environment, not a tent that becomes hotter inside than the temperature outdoors. Travellers should be aware that in extreme weather this accommodation may be uncomfortable at best and unsafe at worst, and the management does not appear to take these risks seriously.
