点评：I booked a tour with Sea Lounge Catamaran, run by Randall Duran in Jacó, Costa Rica. From the start, I asked very specific questions about the departure time, since my schedule was tight. Randall assured me multiple times that the tour would leave promptly at 8:10 AM, if not earlier. I even asked whether this was on “Tico Time” (i.e., casual delays), and he got visibly irritated but firmly insisted they were punctual.
I showed up at 8:00 AM, completed the paperwork, and waited. No staff. No boat. By 8:30, I asked the receptionist where they were, and she said she spoke to Randall and that I could get a refund if I didn’t want to wait. So I took the refund and left.
This entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch. If they can’t be honest about something as simple as a departure time, how can you trust them with food safety, boat maintenance, or even your safety on the water? It felt more like a hustle than a tour operation. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
