点评：An excellent new place on the A46 between junction 18 on the M4 and Bath. It is an offshoot of the well established cafe/deli in Walcot Street Bath, but is much larger. Please note it is not the Cotswold Cheese Company that Trip Advisor seems to think it is. The cafe/restaurant is one space. The difference is that you can book it as a restaurant, with its own defined menu, or use as a walk-in-only cafe with a mostly different menu (although some items are in common). We had a very nice meal. I had an onglet steak, and my wife had a mushroom risotto, both delicious. The deli is extensive with, as you would expect, a very large cheese selection, but many other items - many unusual, and all pretty expensive. A good place, perhaps , for a special present. Perhaps the most egregiously expensive were their packets of crisps, of which the special feature was, apparently, IBIZA salt. Coming in at £7.20 a packet (!) I am understandably unable to comment on the contents! The one drawback was a hygiene issue , or rather, two issues: at the counter where one orders, there were at least three sets of attractive pastries e.g. croissants, buns etc, but they were completely open to the air, and at the edge of counter, in the close vicinity of the customers, one of whose coats, when I was there, overlapped the pastries. Another customer agreed with my remarking on this and had noticed it herself. I reported it to the staff member who said they would convey the comment to the manager; our table was positioned with a clear view of the serving hatch. I happened to notice that one of the servers (who had also been dealing with tills , serving etc) was re-arranging a cheese plate by unprotected hand before serving - I later saw another server doing the same. Later I saw both these staff members at the cheese counter, again handling cheeses by unprotected hand. For all I know they could have washed hands on that later occasion, but not on the former. These blemishes could easily be rectified. All in all, a very good new discovery for us and we will return, keeping a watch on the hygiene!
