点评：In January 2025, our friend Tim McKenna lost his battle with his mental health and took his life. He was a wonderful man, friend and father, and was an inspiration to many, through his cycling adventures and his openness about his mental health troubles.
In August 2025 we paid tribute to Tim by riding LEJOG, in the way he loved to ride: relaxed, self-supported, with plenty of great food, good beer and whisky.
We stopped off at WOLFBURN Distillery and purchased a delicious bottle of their NORTHLAND Whisky to celebrate at JOHN O’GROATS.
I asked if they had any plastic cups for us to use - they had none but very very kindly gave us 4 of their finest glasses for us to celebrate Tim’s Life. We will be eternally grateful for this kind act . We duly then had two or three measures to celebrate Tim - a fitting end to our cycle from Lands End.
It is so wonderful when you are surprised by such kindness - so thank you again from us all .
