Partridge Lakes Fishery的点评
点评：We stopped off at Partridge Lakes for morning coffee. It had been raining most of the morning and there was a break in the clouds as we got out of the car. We went as a family, me, my 91 year old mum, my adult daughter and my husband.
Me and my daughter went to do a recce as mum uses a rollator. There was plenty of parking and we located a disabled space near the cafe which we drove round to.
For anyone disabled I would recommend being driven up the slope by the cafe and dropped off. The servery is outside, in a cabin next to the indoor seating area. You order at the hatch and then take a beeper/pager which tells you when your food and drink is ready. The coffee was very good and we ordered cakes to go with it. Two of our party are vegans and the staff informed us that they only use vegan butter for the toasted teacakes plus they had plant milk as well as dairy for the drinks. We also noticed that they did a vegan breakfast and chicken based dishes too.
The layout and theme of the cafe area is designed to blend in with the landscape. The outdoor seating is covered by a low tented canopy, making it ideal for enjoying the ambience in all weathers. This area is right opposite the duck pond and as we passed we saw a mamma duck and six fluffy ducklings swim by.
There's a bar too which serves beer and cocktails presumably in evenings and at weekends.
The Ritz it ain't but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you love the outdoors and being amongst nature this might just be the slice of paradise you're craving.
