Not worth how expensive it is. Disappointing experience

点评：Go karting is fun and the track was good. It was well presented at the location but the staff were mostly quite rude or just stand offish. There was very little engagement and customer service. It very much just felt like we were rushed through, as if we were an inconvenience. There was no encouragement or enthusiasm. The male staff member of the reception desk was better but the ones running the actual event made no effort.
£40 for 30 minutes of track time is a lot of money but go karting is fun, so you pay it in exchange for a fun experience, however, I wouldn't be likely to return. I completely understand the light system and that if someone crashes, we had to stop our karts. However, it was extremely frustrating. I think I may have got a couple of runs around the track on a green light. Every other lap was constantly amber or red. It was just stop/start so often which was frustrating, disappointing and so much wasted time.
My party was 9 people, and we had 2 others racing at the same time as us. The female in that couple crashed constantly so we just constantly had red lights. I understood racing needed to be stopped for safety reasons, but I just feel that time should be added if so much of the 30 minutes is us just sat in the go karting waiting. My group felt penalised for the other female recklessly driving and constantly crashing.
We attended for my partners birthday, as a surprise and he's never been before. He was excited as we approached the venue but his excitement was short lived and his first experience made him feel not in a rush to do it again. That's a real shame because I know how good go karting can be, but this experience has spoilt that.
