So disappointing
Wikinger Museum Haithabu的点评
点评：Oh, I was so excited to visit, and at least it was easy to find, but I found the museum and the village disappointing.
Hedeby (Haithabu) was the most important settlement in Denmark during the Viking ages. Since then, Denmark lost the area to Germany, and it's clear, the museum would benefit from a Danish historian to add context and historic facts. Hedeby is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it deserves so much better.
Everything's in German except for naming the objects, for instance, "Broche fra kvindegrav".
The village, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the museum, is a few houses and a couple of chickens. How about an app, where you can see what life was like back in the day? You know, you point your device at something in the village, and instantly you can see daily life and people dressed up as vikings.
