A nice day out but could improve.
Jarrow Hall Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum的点评
点评：The staff are all very nice. But Jarrow Hall is run down and very disorganised.
We had animal feeding badge booked. We went early to try and make the most of the day. When we arrived and said we were there for the animal feeding session, we were told the vet has said people cant feed the animals. We were then told the session was cancelled. But this was a mistake - it was another activity that was cancelled. I paid for entry for my son and I so we could go in early. But have since read on Facebook that the child session ticket meant they could enter for the day with that anyway.
My son enjoyed the Animal feeding activity. It was supposed to start at 1pm (it's advised to arrive 5 minutes early). It didn't start until 1.20. The lady that ran the activity was very nice. My son said she was really kind.
The Anglo Saxon village is quite over grown. You can only see inside 1 of the buildings at the moment. The animals are nice to look at.
The museum itself is just OK. Lots of writing which is good if you have a particular interest but not interesting to young children. It's also dirty in parts.
Overall you can stretch a day out here between Jarrow Hall and the park outside. It's value for money if you're returning throughout the year.
