点评:We actually headed to Arcola, IL to take in the tributes to Raggedy Ann and Andy who we created there. We drove into town and came across the Hippie Memorial which is also listed on the Roadiseamerica.com website. Since it was right there, we took it in. You can park for free near the memorial. You do not need to pay a fee to visit the memorial. The memorial seems to be a tribute to a local resident. It is a wall with a collection of metal pieces. There is a peace sign in the middle of the memorial as well as on the ground in front of the memorial. There is a nice sign describing the memorial which is actually a transcribed speech from the day it was opened. There is a nice park bench near the wall if you need to sit and reflect. It is very close to a number of other Arcola sites which may be more interesting than this wall. It is alleged to be the only Hippie Memorial in the US.
