Absurd levels of tranquility, never in my life...
Onuma Quasi-National Park的点评
点评:We went here in the mid-afternoon to evening time around Christmas and holy cripes! Although there's not much to it in principle - it's relatively small and can be walked around in an hour easily - it's left me with one of the most serene memories ever. I appreciate it must depend on the season you go but when we went, it was a snowy, wintery fantasy I've never experienced before.
The sunset was beaming through the trees, a crisp blue sky although somehow also snowing...? There was *nobody* after the entrance, just me and the wife. The entire lake was not only frozen thick enough to jump on (You can ice fish and snow mobile here if you go earlier) but coated in a thick layer of snow, and the sky was clear enough to see the full glory of Komagatake Volcano.
The scenery was truly Tolkien-esque, or Ghibli, or something. If not for my tinnitus, I'd have been in the most peaceful moment in my entire life.
Easy to get to. Just get off at the station and pretty much walk, it's round the corner like 2 minutes away or something.
It's pretty easy to get back to the station from inside, too. We came across a sign that said 'shortcut to station' or something, and it took us straight to the main road, where we just followed the train tracks for about 7 minutes, reviewing our experiences together in awe.
