点评:The Docks Bruxsel shopping centre is located in the north of Brussels, along the canal, which is not the nicest neighbourhood. It occupies the site of the former Godin cast-iron stove factory. A few old buildings have been preserved, but the shopping centre itself is surprisingly modern, spacious, and airy. Signage isn’t great. We didn’t see any floor maps, and it took us quite some time to find the loos in the basement, where we had to pay 1 euro and queue. We enjoyed walking around, but we were surprised there was so little shopping going on in this mall. Even on a Wednesday afternoon, when there is no school, most of the shops were almost empty. Maybe people don’t bother because the offer of shops is very similar to that of other shopping centres in Brussels? The food outlets and cafes are nothing special either. It must be said Docks has several entertainment venues we didn’t visit: a cinema, a Lego Discovery Centre, the Koezio indoor adventure park, and the Espace Godin, an exhibition about the life and work of Jean-Baptiste André Godin (1817-1888). We visited by public transport. Tram 7 stops right in front of the main entrance, Tram 10 stops in front of the Quai des Usines entrance.
