点评:Must see the Plum Creek that Laura wrote about, it brings the stories to life! It’s located 5 min from the museum in Walnut Grove. Located on private property it’s $7 per car (honor system). There is a large gravel parking lot that cars and RVs can use. 2 picnic tables are on site. After seeing what’s left of the Ingalls dugout you must take some time to walk in Plum Creek! You don’t need water shoes the bottom is sand with a few pebbles. Kids should bring their swimsuits. Walk up and down the creek. We found awesome clay on the bank near the big rock that we had so much fun making little shapes. This also helped bring to life how the Ingalls could have used this clay as plaster in the dugout. It was so thick! Overall just a fun experience and must see when visiting Walnut Grove
Recommend: bring picnic lunch and spend time down walking in Plum Creek!!
