点评:I have been attending the trade days weekends for over 30 years. Several times a year I travel to the market in a motorhome and stay multiple days. I have nothing bad Ito say about the city staff or Lewis crew's that work the event every month. What I have noticed in the last several years is this place is in a free fall. I think the economy has a lot to do with it. The old timer venders are timing out folks. Covid in the early 2020's really hurt it. It cost a lot of money to rent spaces, rent tables, the cost of gas, food and lodging are all up. Venders can't continue to attend and not make any money. I spoke with one that said they had 1 person in their booth for the whole day and no sales. What I have noticed is the vender count is falling. In the last year alone, I have thought to myself that this is the worst I have ever seen it here then the next visit it's worse. I know it's January, but I just returned from there today and it had the lowest vender count I have ever witnessed. Empty spaces everywhere, food vender trailers have " for sale signs" on them. I know this place has a long history of monthly markets and I have enjoyed many visits here over the years and it's sad, but I could see this place eventually having to go to a couple of market weekends a year if it's going to survive.
