点评:Situated within the Si Phang Nga National Park, this waterfall is certainly worth the effort getting there. To enter the National Park, non Thais are charged 100 THB, Thais 20 baht with 30 Baht for cars. There’s plenty of car parking, toilets and a souvenir shop.
Follow the sign to Tam Nang waterfall which is about 1km through the rainforest. The walk isn’t too bad but can be slippery if there has been recent rain. Care is also needed to avoid tripping on the tree roots. There are some magnificent trees and it’s worth looking up as well as down. We saw a number of butterflies and could hear birdsong but the birds were not in sight!
There had been recent heavy rain so the waterfall looked at its best…the noise was tremendous and the whole sight was awe inspiring.
Take care on the rocks as it would be easy to slip.
In the river away from the torrents, there are many fish and insects.
The waterfall is very popular with tourists groups so it’s best to go earlier in the day.
Nearby are two other waterfalls which are more difficult to reach and involve wading through the river!
Highly recommended.
