点评:Summer is tough at ski resorts, but they're trying. The small village at Taos Ski Valley doesn't have a lot open in the off season, and at times it seemed a little lonely. Some things like the pool are closed when the rain comes through every afternoon (which they adorably call "monsoon season"). It's because of the possibility of lightning, so I appreciate their caution, but you need to be flexible about activities and not just think you can do whatever you want when you want. Just about everything closes by 5:00, so bring a book. The staff at the Blake (as far as I know, it's the only hotel here, the rest appear to be condos) is great and super helpful, though I wish they had some maps to hand out with the village layout and nearby hiking trails. You just have to explore and figure it out on your own. The restaurant at the hotel, 192, was fine, but it was the only option much of our stay, and it can't really sustain you for more than a few meals (terrible coffee; every server was lovely). I can't say what it's like in ski season, but we enjoyed a few days here in summer. Two to three nights is probably the right amount. Before you book, call to ask what restaurants and other things will be open your days. It probably will make a difference in your expectations.
