We traveled to the Danakil Depression last February with Simien Mountain Tours, and it was simply an unforgettable experience!
A huge thank you to Dave, who handled the organization with absolute professionalism. From the very first email to the end of the trip, he was always available, precise, and supportive. Everything ran smoothly thanks to his experience and dedication.
Our guide, Grum, was truly fantastic—super knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and he speaks excellent Italian! He took care of our group with great attention and made us feel safe and well looked after at all times.
Also, a big shoutout to the whole team: the drivers, the chef, and the assistant cook—everyone worked hard to make the trip as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, even in such a remote and extreme environment.
The whole group came back home happy, amazed, and already thinking about going back next year. It was one of those rare trips that stays with you forever.
