点评：Decided to stop off here after exploring the workshops. Only one of the galleries was accessible (the kitchen gallery I think) - the other craft space/shop was locked and had a post-it note on the door stating that it was closed until 1pm due to training.
So we decided to visit the cafe for refreshments. Staff here were surly and unwelcoming - the floor by the serving area was being mopped even though it was lunchtime and we were made to feel as if we were in the way.
1:00pm came and went and still no sign of the other gallery being opened. Other members of the public arrived and tried to gain entry too. I had already spotted an item I liked in the kitchen gallery but wanted to explore the other space before confirming my purchase - however there were no staff around to either serve us or let us in.
We enquired at the cafe as to when the gallery would open, and someone went to find out. They came back with the response that the training had run over and they would be another ten minutes. No offer of opening up or apology, just an order to wait until they could be bothered to come out and open up. As it was 1:20 by this point we left.
So an artist definitely lost a sale (at least £85) due to staff apathy. Not good enough - if you’re an artist/maker hoping to sell your creations here you need to know that the staff really can’t be bothered!
