A Castle built at a fabulous location

点评：Just above the Rhine falls on the hill, the castle precinct had a beautiful view of the upper Rhine extending towards the fall and beyond though the actual fall was not visible. To get to the castle we did a fairly steep climb on the stairway from the ferry landing point. The entrance terrace was decorated with a beautiful flower bed. The castle was interesting with some exhibits but few and had a grand wooden staircase and some stained-glass windows. To thrill the visitors there was a horror room with a display of a table arrangement that had dinner plates moving on the table like some invisible character was moving them. A portrait of a count hung on the wall had its eyes inquiringly moving to either side. Some images were telling stories of what happened in the castle premises. The castle with a 1000-year-old history has withstood climate and changing weather conditions and was looking grandeur. There was activity going on in the terrace leading to the car park with an ice cream and snack vendor selling from a vintage Citron and we enjoyed the ice cream very much.
