An HONEST Review - 2 Day / 1 Night Desert Trip

点评：Long drive but super smooth from pick-up to drop-off, with lots of stops for snacks, photos and stretching the legs. We passed through some incredible spots - the Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou (where Game of Thrones was filmed), the Berber town of Tinghir, and Atlas Studios to name a few. Our driver Ibrahim was lovely - really friendly and full of knowledge about Berber culture, which I loved learning more about.
The camp was great! I had a private tent with an en suite and it was spot on. We were greeted with mint tea on arrival, and the Berber guys running the camp were incredibly hospitable - so friendly, respectful and welcoming. I always felt completely safe as a solo female traveller.
The food could’ve been better (not the best Berber food I’ve had), but the vibe made up for it - drumming, dancing, and a super social atmosphere.
The dunes themselves were amazing, and watching sunrise and sunrise over the sand was magic - such a bucket list experience. The camel ride was fun too, and our guide took some great photos. Overall, it is a lot of driving, but definitely worth it if you want to see the dunes and don’t have much time.
