点评:The walk from the train station was not inspiring, we wondered where the Centro Storico was as the buildings were modernish and charmless, there seemed to be a lot of vehicle traffic, busy streets, crossing busy intersections, it felt like very much an Italian service town.
Then we got to the Centro Storico after about a 20 minute walk and we were delighted to discover a really nice historic area.
It wasn't overly touristic, after the swarms of tourists in Alberobello.
There were nice cafes, shops and restaurants.
A very pleasant walk through shady, streets, nothing of huge merit, but pleasant enough.
There was an exhibition in Piazza Settembre, by the famous sculpture Lorenzo Quinn which had hands joined together to symbolize creating bridges for worldwide unity and understanding.
It was a beautiful creation, I think it was only there for a limited time.
All in all, the Centro Storico was a pleasant visit, but if coming from the rail station its a bit of an underwhelming walk until you get there.
