A MUST-stop for handmade jewelry, sold by wonderful people.

点评：If you’re in Chania, you HAVE to stop here - the handmade jewelry is beautiful, and better, there are options for everyone (both in style & price!). The shop is a total breath of fresh air among the mass-produced-trinket shops of touristy Chania. We’d almost given up when we wandered across this shop!
The kind woman showed me the stunning gold ring from the window, which had drawn me into the shop originally. Sadly, it was too small - she offered to resize it for me OR even make something in the same style, if we had time! But we were only in Chania for another hour. :(
So she gathered all the rings in my size…and found me a beautiful chrysoprase ring I loved even more. She then explained to us what the stone’s name meant in Greek and taught us that the local drink, raki, is absolutely delicious. :)
We also asked her what other local Chania/Crete items we could buy before we left. She thought about it - REALLY thought! - and then gave us a TON of great ideas that ended up being perfect.
Side note: When we walked in, she was in the middle of telling a little girl - one of the many, many kids you see forced to play music/ask for money around the harbor - that she “didn’t have to work, because she just was a child.”
Just so nice to support a local business that makes beautiful things AND cares about their community. Faith in humanity restored.
