点评：My husband and I just returned from a three week birding tour with Jesus Cieza as our private guide from South Birding Peru. It was exactly what we were hoping for with several extras that we did not even expect. Jesus and his driver Omar picked us up at the airport in Cusco and we set off on Manu road. The roads are narrow, full of pot holes and hairpin turns such as we had never seen. Omar was an amazing driver and navigated the entire road and the city of Cusco with immense skill and expertise. Both Jesus and Omar were able to spot birds with their eagle eyes and their keen hearing. We wanted to see a quetzal and they tried harder than anyone would expect, to find us one. Jesus is alot of fun to spend time with and extremely knowledgeable about everything in Peru... not just birds. His partner Lizzet was very helpful in arranging lodging and hotel rooms, train rides and buses to Machu Picchu plus the flight we needed to go from Cusco to the Amazon Jungle. We were able to cover alot of Peru from the Andes to the Jungle. When we were worried about hiking to two rainbow mountains, Jesus assured us that we would be able to hike to both Rainbow and Palcoyo mountains and the stone forest at our own pace and they were certainly worth the hike. ( I strongly suggest getting some altitude sickness pills since the hikes take you to 16,000 ft). Jesus was very good at never making us feel rushed and was very patient with us as we tried to see every bird that he was finding for us. This trip was one that we will never forget and we are very grateful to have found South Peru Birding. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to see Peru.
