点评：Following attempts to make on-line bookings with a group tour company (which starts with Ru), that turned out to be an extremely unwelcoming agent to deal with (despite their advertising to the contrary) upon arrival, being quite abrasive in her general manner, citing a dislike for dealing with last minute bookings, and stating that there would be a requirement to pay an increased price difference to accommodate for tours that had a minimum number of attendance requirements. She did, however, become far more pleasant when we decided not to proceed with making any bookings with her company.
Alternatively, we headed for the Red Shed Visitor Information Centre where we were very warmly welcomed by Di.
After sharing our experiences with the acerbic tour operator, Di shared with us a number of alternative options available, to enable us to see and experience what we had initially wished for.
Through her valuable assistance, she arranged for us to be able to go over to Ulva Island, on a day the other tour operator said was not possible due to rough seas, and at a substantially reduced cost than what it would have cost us through the other tour operator and had an exceptionally fantastic time. Was also able to go Kiwi Spotting, at no extra cost, despite the alternative company (Beaks & Feathers) being willing to accommodate just two people.
The Red Shed Visitor Information Centre was also well stocked with souvenir items, containing something for everyone. Exceptional.
