点评：The lack of an itinerary is always frustrating for these trips getting just a pick up time a short time beforehand. The rest dripfed as we moved through the day. So, I had expected a good few hours to wander the sights of Alcalá del Júcar, enjoy a lunch and do some more sightseeing. What happened was a protracted coach trip including a 45 minute comfort stop resulting in about an hour at our destination before being taken to the lunch venue. The coach was new and the driver excellent and the restaurant lovely however at 6 hours into the trip it felt like a long journey for a pleasant lunch out with a Quick Look at the village. We were guided to the walking path to the caves and this coupled with another brief walk around the village was the last 90 minutes of our day. Due to cash only requirement at the caves some folk were unable to purchase the entrance tickets and something that could have been managed with simple advice in advance when booking the trip. I realised for some participants they’d had a 12 hour day due to their starting point with barely a third of that actually enjoying the destination.
Managing expectations better would have made for a better customer experience.
