点评：My husband and I just returned from an all day tour with Adam Teller, owner of Antelope House Tours. We have travelled all over the world and this tour ranks in the top 5 ever. Adam and his wife have chosen to follow the original Navajo culture in their beliefs and customs. He is a direct descendent of the very people that lived in this canyon hundreds of years ago. He and his family own major acreage in the bottom of the canyon today. So it was like exploring the canyon bottom with the genuine spirit of the past along with an intelligent advocate for the challenges the Navajos face today.
His knowledge, story telling ability and passion for his people and their land blew us away. The canyon is gorgeous and has not been beaten to death by tourism. The ruins that go back to 2500 BCE are some of the best that North America has to offer.
Adam will tell you so much about the history and culture of the Navajo and the Canyon. We left there feeling blown away with emotion, sadness and hope and gratefulness in amount of information that Adam shared. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Well worth every penny.
We suggest a two day trip to Canyon de Chelly. One full day with Adam at the bottom and a second day driving and hiking the rim.
