Good Hope的点评
点评：What a dreadful waste of money - we paid $77 per person (so $144) for the ‘privilege’ of walking around the estate!
We knew we were not going to do any of the special options, as we consciously hadn’t booked / paid for them.
Looking closer at the paperwork, did we get what we paid for 100%, did we get value for what we paid, 0%!
Island Routes are usually 10/10 for the numerous trips we have done with them in Nassau/Barbados/Jamaica, this one is a 1/10, they should be embarrassed to list it.
$30 - $40 a head, just maybe. The grounds are well kept and the bus driver needs to be paid, if the house was included maybe even the $77 could be argued for, but just to walk around the grounds, absolute ripoff. I would imagine Island Routes will claim it is Good Hope who drive the prices, then they should delist the excursion, not allow their customers to be swindled.
The staff in general were surly. One or two really stood out as helpful (the guy offering the ‘smokes’ was very chatty and cheerful, even though I turned down the ‘offer’). The two at the bar looked at us as though we were extremely rude by spoiling their rest, I haven’t encountered a shocking attitude like that from anyone else in the Caribbean.
I am very, very, disappointed in Island Routes (not Tressann - thank you - who had suggested another option, our ultimate decision not to persist).
I really cannot stress how disappointed we were.
