5* Pilot experience

We bought this as a gift for our son for Christmas.
When we arrived at the check-in desk the team were already expecting us and our son’s pilot instructor welcomed him to his experience.
We were then taken to a simulation suite. This was in a decommissioned 737 Boeing aeroplane, myself my husband sat in real plane seats at the back whilst our son sat with the pilot in the front.
Whilst we were sat on the back of the plane there was a TV so we could see what our son was experiencing which was fab.
The whole experience was 80 minutes and during this time our son had one-on-one time with the pilot who explained what all the buttons were and thrusters etc. He was then guided on when to press and when, explained everything so he could understand and demonstrated.
Our son then taxi’d the aircraft out to the runway, completed the takeoff and flew the plane to Ireland. He was able to turn the plane, go up and down and land the plane on three occasions.
This really is a great experience. Our son has a lovely memory which he will remember for a very long time.
At the end of the experience, the pilot allowed us to take pictures. He then gave him a certificate to take away.
This is a really brilliant gift for anyone who is considering buying one for a plane fanatic or someone just who wants to experience what it’s like to actually be a pilot.
