Williamson’s Tunnels – Friends of Williamson’s Tunnels的点评
点评：Visited the tunnels on Sunday lunchtime as a family with two teenagers. Excellent communication from the volunteers beforehand to book the visit and to find it on the day which was straightforward.
Mike was our tour guide on the day and was excellent, clearly passionate about volunteering on the project to unearth more of these amazing tunnels. He was full of knowledge and shared as much as he could answering all the questions the group had.
It’s such an unusual experience to walk along a road in Liverpool knowing there is a huge void beneath your feet and then seconds later climb down to see it for yourselves.
The tour lasted for about two hours and was structured really well, revealing more of the tunnels and the history as you go.
What the group of volunteers have achieved in discovering and digging out these tunnels bucket by bucket is amazing.
