I witnessed racism

点评：If I could have 0 stars I absolutely would. This review isn’t necessarily about the service/ business that is being ran. It’s about what I had to witness first hand here. Myself & my friends (along with my husband) went into this establishment for a quick drink after playing sport. Now we went in and were greeted with ‘no’ as soon as we touched the bar, you here may be as confused as I were seen as it was just short of 11 at night- I also can accept this is late on a midweek visit however after calling 30 minutes before saying that last orders were 11.30- we were clearly in the timeframe. Anyway, we move on, it’s late and honestly I wanted to get home as I was driving anyway. However walking out I heard a comment mentioning a zoo. Myself being a 30 year old white woman - it would never enter my head what these people were insinuating.
Moving forward- next comment was ‘keep walking’ at this point I was distracted as I was talking to my husband (still confused as to why we weren’t being served)
Anyway doesn’t take a genius to work out what was going on here. I will let you fill in the rest.
This pub is nothing short of accepting racism. . And whether this is from the staff or the ‘people’ who go in. It is something that should not be tolerated. And if writing this review on this page I can stop this from happening again then I’ve had my piece. I for sure would never ever step foot in here knowing I’d be sharing the same air as people such as this. Racism should never of happened X amount of years ago and it certainly should not be happening now.
