A relaxing stay in the Coffee Pickers Village

点评：We stayed several days in a little lodge in the Coffee Pickers' Village - a short walk from the hot springs & restaurant area. The lodges are fairly basic but clean, comfortable and peaceful. They have private gardens with a spectacular view. Our family enjoyed seeing the birds and animal wildlife each day.
Whenever we visited the hot springs we seemed to miss the day-trippers and had the area almost to ourselves! Even at night you could use the pools.
The scenic walk around the village up into the hills gives information about how the coffee is harvested and made.
The staff are polite and helpful and even made us takeaway breakfasts when we had early excursions booked.
One thing needs improvement: the lodges have a 'kitchen' of sorts - fridge, microwave, electric grill-plate - but this does not mean you can actually prepare and cook family meals! We had bought lots of food from a supermarket thinking we'd make a few basic meals but bizarrely almost no utensils, pans or containers are provided! The small hot plate is not like a hob and is hard to clean. It was when we were trying to cook rice in little mugs in the microwave that we had to give up and acknowledge that pretending you have a working kitchen is a fantasy and you end up eating at the restaurant. It would be better if they provided actual cooking facilities with utensils (not even a plastic bowl was present!!) or nothing at all, except a fridge for drinks. The half and half approach suited nobody.
