点评：We had the absolute pleasure of touring with a wonderful local guide in Höfn, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. She is warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, with a lifetime of stories that truly bring the town’s history to life.
Her family’s roots run deep here—her father and grandfather were fishermen, and she even worked in the fish factory as a young person. Listening to her share personal memories alongside the broader history of the town made everything feel so authentic and alive. She painted a vivid picture of how Höfn grew from a tiny fishing village of just 15 houses into the vibrant community it is today.
We explored the town’s history museum, visited the old fish camp, and ended with a delicious food tasting at Pakhaus Restaurant. Along the way, she pointed out landmarks and homes, weaving in stories of the people who lived there, the challenges they faced, and the traditions that shaped their lives.
