Overpriced and stuck in the 60s, find alternatives for Hysaria

点评：I spent a few days at Augusta Spa Hotel in Hysaria with my extended family.
This place is for retired pensioners with a strong nostalgia of 40-50 years ago, a time capsule in a way.. The average age of its customers must be 68 or more.
That said, Augusta Spa offers some positive experience.
The restaurant has a strong selection of traditional dishes, with quality ingredients.
The breakfast buffet offers limited variety but is still better than many anglosaxon alternatives.
The dinner buffet is mixed, as meats get cold quickly and there is no way to heat them up. Still, quite a few good choices.
The outside pool is large enough to allow swimming and soaking in parallel. The bar has a limited selection if drinks but what it carries is well supplied. Same for the lobby bar inside.
The indoor pool is boring and the jacuzzi is of course scary.
I did not brave entering the sauna, and the aalt and mud rooms were too mysterious for me. A completely naked pensioner around the sauna scared me and my family, I dont know why staff allows it.
The staff is attentive and does its best with its limited English. I never felt left wanting for assistance.
However, management truly seems to hate younger customers: music and atmosphere are exclusively tailored for pensioners and management refuses to put on any music from the 80s or later, only 70s or earlier, and no internstional music: it's a time capsule in a negative way.
Overall, if you can stomach a trip to the past you will find a tolerable experience.
However, at over 100 EUR per night for a basic double room, Augusta Spa is simply overpriced for the ancient and limited experience it offers.
Hysaria has many alternatives, keep looking.
