点评：We had an incredible experience exploring the Burra Heritage Passport Trail! The adventure began with excellent customer service at the Burra Visitor Information Centre, where we collected our passport key, map, and information. The staff provided a comprehensive overview, ensuring we had everything we needed to make the most of our visit.
The trail features 11 locked heritage sites, with a few extra suggestions for exploration. We had about three hours and managed to visit most of the sites, even though the recommended time is about four hours (you get two days access with the passport). Driving between sites worked perfectly, but we met a couple on e-bikes who were also loving the experience—what a great way to explore!
Burra is a charming and historic town, and it was amazing to wander through the sites with our own key, unlocking history at our own pace. Each site was well-maintained, clean, and easy to find, with clear signage. The sense of being allowed to explore at our leisure, often having whole sites to ourselves, made it feel like a special adventure.
While some of the interpretive signs are a little worn, they were still perfectly usable. The map and booklet we received provided excellent directional and historical information, helping us navigate the trail and prioritise our stops. The attention to detail was impressive, and the accessibility guide was incredibly helpful.
We finished our visit at the Bon Accord Museum, which was an interesting addition to our day. The Burra Heritage Passport Trail is a fantastic way to dive deep into the rich history of Burra, and it's suitable for all ages. It’s an experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Burra or the Clare Valley region.
