点评：What a magical day for my 2 year old grandson at Thomas Land Drayton Manor. Choosing a Wednesday during term time assured us of a crowd free experience. No queuing, which considering the concentration of an excited toddler was brilliant. We could choose to stay on the rides if we wanted to. Everything is within easy walking distance and although we spent 6 hours there we didn’t feel exhausted. Seeing all the Thomas characters come to life with live shows throughout the day was magical. A special shout out for ‘Sir Topham Hatt’. He was a wonderful character with boundless energy and patience with all the little ones. There are lots of picnic areas for self catering options (which I would recommend) we left our hamper in the car as the carpark is close by which saved us carrying it round all day. We did choose to purchase refillable hot drinks for £8. A bargain when a single coffee is £4. The train ride to the small zoo and Dino park was fun and allowed for some quiet time away from the rides. I found the whole experience amazing and I’d recommend it for any family with little ones. My only 2 negatives are firstly the booking process. As a disabled customer accessing the free carer ticket online proved too difficult for me and I gave in and just paid for full price admission. I tried talking to the ticket office on the day but was told it was too late to change are tickets and have £33 refunded. I also found the gift shop VERY expensive. I understand there are always some high ticket price items but for those on a budget there was nothing one could purchase under £10. T-shirts and hoody’s for toddlers were £25/30. Magnets were between £4/7. And if you wanted to buy a small train the only ones I saw was £25/50. My advice would be to buy a gift before you go and give it to them on the day and give the gift shop a miss.
