点评:We booked a 3 day, 2 night Urlu excursion from and with return to Alice Springs. The trip was exactly as described on-line. We had a full tour of 20 people from all over the world, but even with that it was exceptional. Our guide, tour bus driver, historian and companion did an awesome job for the full three days including ‘entertaining’ us with a bevy of ‘dad’ jokes and puns. In spite of that, and many of us helping out, it was a great tour. We did have a large temperate change from 11dC (45dF) to 22dC (75dF). The sunset and sunrise over Urulu were photogenic and ‘glorious’ as well described in the guide. Communications with us as we planned and traveled from the US to Australia, were exception and comprehensive. I would only state, no need to take a swimsuit, you can’t swim in Kings Canyon and the Kings Canyon walk requires 3L of water per person (thankfully they provided much needed water bottles for us to kill on site). The sleeping arrangements were adequate and what we expected. Both nights were in tents in prepared locations, the first with and the 2nd night without electricity. Neither had heat, but there was plenty of blankets and a nice fire each night. The Garden of Eden in Kings Canyon was exception and worth the 6km hike and carrying 6L of water (for both of us). But, be prepared for (1) nearly 1500 KMs of bus travel and (2) to lend a hand with meals. Our travel companions all pitched in and made the entire adventure more enjoyable.
