点评:Tremendous little getaway From the city hubub of Dakar. Take a small motorized pirogue boat from neighborhood of Ngor accross the channel through a harbor to the beach on Ngor Island. Very clean--garbage is removed daily from the Island. Air is clean--no motorized vehicles allowed on the Island. Old beach houses and colorful buildings with a maze of old stone walkways. Back side of the island is rough and the gorgeous view of the wild ocean is worth the trek over lava rocks and a small military trail. Used for military training, the path is lined by wild prickly pear and the ocean. Don't miss the memorial to the many who lost lives trying to cross to ocean from persecution to freedom. Three small quaint beaches to relax or swim. Dining was open air and seafood was fresh and reasonable. Interesting fact: no electric is supplied to the island, just solar power or generators.
