An Unforgettable Day in Athens with John Benakis! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

点评：After a wonderful 10-day Mediterranean cruise, we arrived in Athens and were incredibly lucky to meet John Benakis, the taxi driver who took us from the port to our hotel. During the ride, he offered us a private tour of Athens for the next day — and we’re so glad we accepted!
John was extremely polite, gentle, and attentive throughout the entire day. He drove us through some of the most relevant areas of Athens, stopping wherever we wanted and patiently waiting for as long as we needed. He even took amazing photos of us at each spot — we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and photographer!
One of the highlights was when he took us to a family-owned local café ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΙΔΗΣ, where we had the best and freshest baklava we’ve ever tasted. Later, when my husband mentioned he loved spanakopita, John went out of his way to stop at a small corner shop and surprised us with what we both agreed were the most fantastic spanakopitas in the universe (except for the ones John's mother makes, of course)
Beyond being a wonderful driver and guide, John was also a great conversationalist. We had a fantastic time chatting about Greek mythology and many other topics — and he was both surprised and amused that I knew so much about them! He made sure we felt safe at all times, even helping us navigate the slippery marble streets with care.
Unfortunately, every great experience must come to an end — but our day with John was the perfect way to discover the best of Athens in just a short time.
We fully recommend John Benakis to anyone visiting Athens. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine passion for sharing his city made this an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss the chance to tour with him — it will be one of the highlights of your trip!
