A Christmas trip to remember

点评：What an amazing treat we had on the “Christmas Lights - Trains at Night” trip to Glenbrook last night. Inexpensive for families and the sheer joy to both adults and children as the steam train chugged down the tracks and back. The bonus was the lights - they were spectacular throwing beams of light out from the bottom of the train (the colours of the rainbow). All the bells and whistles, and of course a puff or two of smoke! The volunteers were exceptionally helpful with our friends with mobility issues and we were given preferential seating and such courtesy - much appreciated by our small group. There were carols echoing out for us to sing along to, the whole site lit up brightly and festive. And, importantly, there were portaloos for the hundreds of people who were there. Food stalls were also on site for those who fancied a snack or two and Santa was on hand for photos. To be honest, we can’t thank the team of volunteers enough for making our surprise steam train trip so fabulous. It’s such a great experience for families or just friends and something we’d like to do again next Christmas.
