Port Phillip Ferries的点评
点评：We did a round trip using a V/Line train to Geelong, a route bus to Portarlington and the ferry back to Melbourne's Docklands.
One of the two ferries was berthed at Portarlington but this was not our vessel, as the latter arrived from Geelong.
Fares are much more expensive than the train despite Port Phillip Ferries receiving a heavy subsidy from the broke state Labor government.
The journey was smooth but a little marred by dirty windows that made it difficult to see out.
Once we were on the Yarra River it became more interesting. By standing outside, one could view Webb Dock and West and East Swanson Docks. A few container ships were in port.
The ferry ran a few minutes late.
There was a lack of signage on the Portarlington Pier as to where the ferry would depart from although this became obvious when it arrived.
