Sea Saba is worth the trip!

点评：Sea Saba was a wonderful experience! They were really responsive with several emails I sent asking questions and booking diving arrangements.
We were going to ferry over but the boat had mechanical issues and cancelled so we ended up booking a flight with Winair. Sea Saba helped modify our booking so we could get the third dive in and also had their driver Anthony pick us up from the airport to take us to the marina, which was amazing.
If you are on the fence about flying - Do it!! First, we took a 20 minute ferry from St Maarten to Anguilla and that was about as long as I wanted to be on a ferry in the Caribbean… the 1.5 hour ferry to Saba getting cancelled was a blessing in disguise. Not only was the 12 minute flight so much better than 1.5 hours, but the airport is on the opposite side of the island as The Bottom where the marina is at. This gave us the opportunity to actually see the island (we did not stay overnight), the volcano is amazing and very steep, tight switchbacks all the way up then all the way back down. The driver let us out at the Wayward side village and we got to have a coffee and apple turnover, recommended by Anthony. Had we ferried over we would have missed experiencing the beautiful island because the ferry ports at the marina where the dive boat is located.
We did extensive research on flying after our dives and due to the low elevation, short distance and time in the air it’s completely safe. However, we did buy DAN memberships to cover any unforeseen situations below or above water.
