A day at the beach: crowded but still wonderful!

点评：Lovely state park with a large beach and also camping sites. Beach area is quite large with lots of trees for shade, picnic tables, and grills. The swimming area is roped off and easy to walkin. Very few rocks, mostly a candy bottom. The swim area is quite shallow, so good for kids. Need to walk/swim a way out to get to over my head, and I am only 5'. Lol
The beach is clean and the water is beautifully clear. Sitting on the beach all you can see is lake, trees and mountains. No houses, just nature. This was further enhanced by a wonderful breeze that made the 90+degree day much more pleasant.
The beach area also has a nice playground for kids, a small store for drinks/snacks, toilets, and an area for rentals: canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats. Parking area is large and well kept.
Of course, the beach was PACKED with families, lots of kids, and lots of floatation "toys".For the most part, people were respectful. And given the number of kids, the noise was not nearly as bad as we expected.
Be aware: no lifeguards!
Beach Entry fee for NH seniors = FREE! Most others = $5 per person.
